Final product

Just been browsing the schools website and thought I'd share the photos from the latest tea party they threw (yes my school throws tea parties).

In the last term the fully trained chefs host a tea party to show off their new found skills. I find it quite mind boggling that in less than a year I will supposedly be able to create such beauties.

Enjoy.

p.s. Seven days to go, still homeless and with out my equippment.

First Post

I've decided to document my year at Le Cordon Bleu in a blog to show off my highs and lows to anyone who might be interested.

Im starting a course in Patisserie on the 1st October, giving me approximately 9 days to find a house, move to London, buy some chef gear and try to recall how to bake. By way of preparing myself for school I have been away in Asia for the past 6 weeks, where I have cooked approximately zero times and the closest I've come to a pastry was a soggy croissant somewhere in Thailand. Basically I'm ready to roll.

So this is where it begins, blog number one. I will do my best to keep up to date and take photos of my beautiful creations, as well as those of the teachers by way of comparision. Hopefully as the year goes on my cakes will look less home baker and more pâtissier.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog as I swap Politics for Patisserie (and a lot of butter) at LCB.
